Sadie Green

As a recovering taskmaster, I now have time and space to put my energy into this podcast that explores how childhood trauma can shape a lifetime. You will hear my story the way that I remember it, sharing what hurt me, what helped me, and what my imperfect self is still experiencing because of it. I am scared to do this, as every abuse survivor is, but it has burned beneath my busyness all of my years.

At 16, I started supporting myself, first as a waitress, then working in cooperatives, nonprofits, and social service organizations. These included a worker-owned music stage and restaurant, a transitional housing program for homeless women and kids, city transit as a bus driver, and a small nonprofit supporting disabled adults. Now retired, I am learning how to cook and garden. I’m a longtime vegetarian living in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I’m excited to connect with you and hope this podcast provides a meaningful experience. Thanks for listening.
